Janet Van de Graaf in “The Drowsy Chaperone”, Dragon in “Shrek” and Birdwoman in “Mary Poppins”, went on to John Burroughs High School, where she starred as Daisy in “Side Show”, Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet”, and in many other shows. Lauren was an integral member of the elite a capella group “Powerhouse” all 4 years, and was its president during her Senior Year. In addition to now being a professional vocal coach herself, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Ithaca College in New York.
“Performing in the Laurel Hall musicals gave me passion for performing, as well as some favorite memories and friends. I realized theatre is my calling and the training and support from Mr. Haworth and Ms. Baxter provided me with the tools to continue professionally. Being a part of the Laurel Hall musicals is an experience will love! You will improve as a performer, and create unforgettable memories. I am now earning my BFA and pursuing a career on Broadway, none of which would have been possible without those cherished shows.”
